Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you'd like to know about the collection, the materials, and the ordering process.
The Collection
Yes, completely. Each necklace is assembled by hand using antique and vintage beads, found materials, and semi-precious stones — many of which exist in small quantities. No two necklaces are alike, and many are made from materials that can never be exactly reproduced. When a piece is marked SOLD, it is gone forever.
From Dyan's personal sourcing travels across Nepal, India, West Africa, the Mediterranean, and Central Asia. She brings back antique silver beads, powder glass, coral, semi-precious stones, and found objects — then assembles them in her Paris studio. You can read more about specific materials in the Our Materials section or in the Journal.
Dyan occasionally shows pieces at private viewings and select art events. Contact her directly to ask about upcoming opportunities. Photos and videos of specific pieces can also be arranged on request.
Yes. Dyan works with antique sterling silver and high-karat silver from Nepal and India, as well as vermeil (gold-plated sterling silver). Pieces are not costume jewelry — they are made with genuine materials that have been used and valued for generations.

Yes. Dyan accepts a limited number of custom commissions. You share your preferences — length, materials, colour palette, occasion — and she proposes a design. Custom pieces typically take 4–8 weeks from brief to completion. See the Custom Orders page for more details.
Yes. Pieces can be shipped worldwide, with careful packaging to protect the beads and metal elements during transit. Shipping costs and insurance are discussed at the point of sale.
Because every piece is unique, returns are considered on a case-by-case basis. Dyan takes great care to provide accurate photos, videos, and descriptions before purchase. If a piece arrives damaged, please contact her immediately — she will make it right.
Care & Maintenance
Gently, and with materials appropriate to each component. A soft dry cloth is safe for almost everything. See the full Care & Storage guide for material-specific advice. If in doubt, contact Dyan.
Many pieces are robust enough for frequent wear. However, because they use antique and natural materials, some care is advised — remove before swimming, showering, or applying beauty products. Handled with respect, they will last decades and develop a beautiful patina with age.
